I was born in the heartland of Ohio, where life was simple and sweet—until everything changed when my dad answered God’s call to the ministry. That calling led our family to Tennessee, where he enrolled in Bible college and began what would become a 30+ year journey of faithful ministry. 

Years later, at that very same university, I met the love of my life, Butch. (God clearly had a good plan in motion!) We’ve now shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, two amazing sons, their equally amazing wives, and two precious grandchildren who light up our world. 

Butch and I have served side by side in ministry for every one of those 55 years—through music, youth, teaching, and pastoring—and we’ve been honored to continue that calling for over a decade now at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in beautiful Pensacola, Florida. 

I began my teaching career in 1973 and have spent most of that time in secondary English. For the past 12+ years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching World Languages at NFC Academy, where each day brings new opportunities to invest in young lives. 

Through every season, every move, and every ministry moment, God’s grace has been my guide. To Him be all the glory.
