Welcome to the NFC Academy. I teach some of the electives that are available to you. I have the most students in Business Computer Applications and Essentials of Communication.  

 If you do not have the Office Suite, I suggest you download the free version of Microsoft 365 app. It will not have all the features, but will have what you need. This is important if you have a unit that has spreadsheets. You will have to show your formulas to receive full credit for the assignments. 

When I first came to North Florida Christian School, I was teaching third grade. The Computer lab at the elementary level were just beginning to be introduced as a way to teach students how to use technology  in a productive way. I was offered the opportunity to teach computer skills when we opened our lab in 1995. Over the years I have taught three-year old boys and girls how to use a mouse up to showing 8^th graders how to develop an app. I have enjoyed seeing all the technology changes over the years and helping students to know how to use the skills to be more successful in whatever path they take in their future.

I have a degree in Elementary Education from Rowan State University. I truly believe that God called me to teach, and led me here. I have been teaching at NFC for 29 years. I enjoy watching our students come as preschool and elementary students and grow up to high school seniors. One of my favorite things about teaching for so long is getting to teach the children of students that I have taught. Teaching in a Christian School also allows me to share my faith with my students and incorporate Bible truths in my teaching. One of my favorite verses to teach them is Isaiah 41:13. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” 

I have been married to my husband, Dennis, for thirty-seven years. We both grew up in New Jersey. We moved to Florida in 1992. During that time, God added two daughters to our family. They grew up attending NFC and participating in many of the activities offered here. We often refer to NFC as a second home. Our granddaughter is a Little Eagle.
