—Welcome To My Class – Mrs. Nicole Strange—

My Classroom At NFC Academy

My Story

I’ve been a teacher since 1991 after receiving my bachelor’s degree from The University of Valley Forge in PA and have taught all grades from 3rd through 8th. I earned my elementary education teacher’s license in New Jersey after I completed a master’s level program through Jersey City University in 2009. My teaching career began in the inner-city of Newark, New Jersey and I have taught children in Christian schools in Honduras and Costa Rica as well. I have also enjoyed the opportunity to teach English as a second language to Costa Rican’s who were preparing to serve as missionaries in other countries. I love teaching children of all ages, and I especially enjoy teaching children and adults about the Bible and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus. It’s a pleasure to help students in their education journey studying science and seeing God through science here at NFC Academy. I’m thankful to be able to work with students and families from all over the world who want a Christian education.

For My Class

You will not need a lot of supplies for science. I highly recommend a notebook to take notes on lessons, and especially any formulas that are needed. All science labs are online, and you will not need to buy supplies. There may be a few activities throughout some of the science classes that would ask you to use common things found in most homes (inexpensive things), but this is rare.

My Family

My husband Tim and I have been married for over 12 years and have been serving as missionaries together in Costa Rica for over 12 years. We have 2 daughters, Gianna who works for ChildHope Ministries in Springfield, MO and Francesca who is married to Nathan (they are children’s pastors in Cleveland, OH) with a grandbaby coming later this year! I’m so thankful that both of our daughters were able to complete their high school education online through NFC Academy before going to Nelson University in TX.  I enjoy recharging at the beach, reading, baking and spending time with our children when we are in the US. Costa Rica is an amazing place to live and work. If you ever can visit, I’d say go for it!
