ONLINE PROGRAM ORIENTATION AND MORE | (GRADES 3-12)

NFC Academy Homeschool  Online Programs

Join us as we host you for a visit to the virtual campus of NFC Academy. In our Virtual Orientation, we will cover some helpful areas for both the parent and student in our session. These sessions cover all of our online homeschool programs including:

  • NFC Academy Teacher Program called the Homeschool Advantage Program (HSA) and includes grades 3-12 – You have selected NFC Academy teachers to be the primary teachers.
  • Homeschool Edition (HSE) and Homeschool Plus (HSP) Online Programs – Similar programs just for different grades. HSE and HSP use the same curriculum with the difference being the parent is the primary teacher.
  • Homeschool Basics – This is the same curriculum as the others but there is no teacher support so this program is not accredited nor approved by the NCAA.

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Orientation session, designed specifically for both new and returning students eager to navigate the exciting world of online learning. This session is not just a formality; its a vital opportunity for you to discover all the essential information you need to embark on your academic journey with confidence.

During Orientation, you will learn how to access your courses and explore the various resources available to support you in your studies. We will guide you through the communication channels with your teachers, ensuring that you feel connected and supported every step of the way.

As a reminder, every new online student is required to complete an orientation session before commencing their coursework. We are committed to making this experience as easy and beneficial as possible, equipping you with the tools and knowledge necessary for success in the online environment. These sessions are for newly enrolled students in one of our Online Programs. If you are not enrolled yet but are interested in NFC Academy, please register for one of our Admission Open House live meetings. That meeting with our Admission’s staff will be able to answer all your questions about NFC Academy.

In the session we will provide new families with information about the homeschool curriculum Ignitia and Edgenuity and study expectations, communication options, policies regarding attendance and participation including the 180-school day school year, your important Parent Portal, and resources for both students and home teachers on our website. We will cover information about accreditation with our partners, Cognia/SACS, Middle States, and the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) and NCAA approval and much more.

BOOK PROGRAM ORIENTATION | (GRADES 1-4)

NFC Academy Kindergarten and Book Program 1st-2nd Grades Orientation

This orientation session is for our homeschool families in the Kindergarten and Book Program for 1st-2nd grades. We will tell you about the programs and give you important information to help you get started.

In our session we will look at the grading portion of both the Kindergarten and the Book Program for grades 1-2. Student learning and performance improves in their academic work when they get positive feedback from their grades and they are well prepared for an upcoming assessment with important feedback on earlier work concepts. As an accredited program there are expectations we must meet for these programs.

We will briefly cover the courses for the grades, information about using the NFC Academy Daily Lesson Planner, and introduce you to the online gradebook for Kindergarten and Book Program grades 1-2. There are both home teacher resources and student resources we will show you for your homeschool program.

NFC Academy Kindergarten Program Orientation

Welcome to the exciting year of kindergarten! Few years will come that you will see your child learn as many new things as they do in the world of kindergarten.

Don’t be worried about grading as we have sessions most months to review the grading in Kindergarten. All you need to do is register for the session and we will get you the information needed to join us live.

Stay with us for this orientation video as we cover topics that will aide you as the kindergarten teacher for your own kindergarten students. We have many resources to tell you about that will be available to you on our website which is in addition to what we have or will ship to you.
